This is actually an older story that I believe needs more light shed on it. In 2010, we “discovered” that Afghanistan had a reserve of mineral resources and deposits in value of over 1 trillion dollars. Lithium is what all of the iPod, iPhone, cameras, etc. devices use for batteries, so you could imagine how important it currently is.
